the place where he put his hand is not glass. it is made of jelly that can easy be penetrated with enough pressure, but then closes automatically when it comes in contact with anything that is not h20

Then somehow he gets ito n the inside of the tank. Then it's the same thing on the other side, except for there's a smaller forearm sized hole he can reach through and take the card back. Just a guess. |
