My sister's friend's younger sister's is studying in Japan(on exchange program). She's caucasian and from what i've heard has had no bad/racist experience so i doubt u have anything to worry about. I would think if you respect their culture or anyone else's for the matter, you're bound to avoid any problems. I love Japan too..dying to visit someday..heard a lot of good things from ppl i know and blogs online.

this is the japan of my dreams minus the western dressed people...I've been in love with Japan ever since i watched the tv series Oshin.You can tell i'm a child of the 80's. lol.
